User Agreement

1. What This Agreement Is

This User Agreement ("Agreement") applies to every reader, subscriber and contributor who uses thimble.info ("the Site"), operated by the Thimble Editorial Desk ("We", "Us", "Our"). It explains the standards We hold Ourselves to and the rules We ask You to follow. By using the Site You agree to this Agreement together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If the documents ever conflict, the Terms of Service prevail for legal matters and this Agreement guides editorial and day-to-day use.

2. Our Commitments to You

We write about luxury heels because we love the craft. We are independent: no brand pays for coverage, no manufacturer sees a review before it is published, and advertising never buys a place in our rankings or buying guides.

3. Permitted Use of the Site

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes:

• read, print and keep copies of our articles for your own reference;
• share links to our stories on social media, in group chats and by email;
• quote short extracts — up to 100 words — with visible attribution ("Thimble") and a link to the original article;
• use our buying guides, size charts and care advice as a starting point for your own purchase decisions.

You may not:

• republish, translate, mirror or systematically reproduce substantial parts of the Site without a written licence;
• scrape, crawl or harvest the Site with automated tools, or use its content to train machine-learning or AI models, without our permission;
• present our words, rankings or photography as your own or as licensed by anyone else;
• use the Site in any way that breaches the law or the rights of others.

4. Community & Contact Conduct

Where the Site offers comments, replies or contact features, and whenever You email the desk, You agree to communicate lawfully and respectfully. Specifically, You must not:

• harass, abuse, stalk or threaten our staff, contributors or other readers;
• post or send defamatory, hateful, discriminatory, obscene or misleading material;
• impersonate our editors, a brand representative or any other person;
• distribute spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes or unauthorised advertising;
• upload malware or attempt to probe, scan or breach the Site's security.

5. Submissions, Tips & Corrections

We welcome story ideas, tips, fitting-room intelligence and corrections. By sending material to the desk You confirm that:

• the information is true to the best of Your knowledge;
• You own or have cleared the rights to any photograph or text You send;
• You understand that We may edit, verify and publish it, and that We do not pay for unsolicited submissions unless We agree otherwise in writing.

Sending a submission does not create any obligation on Us to publish, respond or keep the material confidential. For the legal licence You grant over submitted content, see section 6 of our Terms of Service.

6. Newsletter Terms

• Subscription: You receive The Sunday Edit only if You gave us Your email address for that purpose, with Your consent.
• Unsubscribe: every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link; requests are processed within 5 working days.
• Data: we store Your email address, subscription date and anonymised engagement events only — see our Privacy Policy.
• Content: newsletter content follows the same editorial standards as the Site; occasional partner features are always labelled.
• No forwarding chaos: You may forward an issue to a friend, but republishing newsletter content on other sites or feeds is not permitted.

7. Accuracy, Prices & Availability

Luxury retail moves fast: prices, stock, exclusives and even product names change weekly. We date every article, re-check prices at publication and update evergreen guides periodically — but We cannot guarantee that a price, size or availability shown on the Site is still accurate when You read it. Always confirm on the retailer's own site before buying. A price shown here is never an offer to sell; contracts are formed solely between You and the retailer.

8. Copyright & Takedown Notices

We respect the rights of photographers, writers and brands. If You believe content on the Site infringes Your rights, send a notice to legal@thimble.info including:

• Your name, postal address and email;
• a description of the work You claim is infringed;
• the exact URL of the material on thimble.info;
• a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in Your notice is accurate and that You are the rights holder or authorised to act for them;
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We will acknowledge within 7 days and, where the notice is complete and credible, remove or replace the material while We investigate. knowingly submitting a false notice may expose You to liability.

9. Access Restrictions & Appeals

We may limit, suspend or block access to the Site — including by IP, account or email — where We reasonably believe You have breached this Agreement or the Terms of Service, or where required to protect the Site, our readers or third parties.

If You believe a restriction was applied in error, email legal@thimble.info with the details. We will review appeals within 14 days and explain Our decision. Deletion of account data, and the survival of key legal clauses, follow the Terms of Service.

10. No Professional Advice

Everything on the Site — reviews, fit notes, comfort commentary, care instructions, resale observations — is editorial opinion and general information. It is not purchasing, investment, medical, podiatric, legal or financial advice, and it is no substitute for a fitting at a boutique or a consultation with a foot-health professional. Decisions You make based on our content are Your own.

11. Relationship to Other Legal Documents

12. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement as the Site and our editorial practices evolve. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last Updated" date; for material changes We will give notice on the Site, in line with the approach set out in section 14 of the Terms of Service. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means You accept the revised Agreement.

13. Contact & Complaints

If You are unhappy with Our response to a complaint, the dispute-resolution steps in section 12 of the Terms of Service apply, including the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform and, for Brazilian readers, Consumidor.gov.br and local PROCON.
